This expansive landscape project in Wakefield coincided with an indoor/outdoor home renovation. Designed to complement an updated aesthetic look, the design team, headed by Gregg Mason, created a formal, asymmetric design—a desire communicated by the homeowner. The preservation of existing plant material was critical. Additionally, the use of new plant material including evergreens, specimen trees and native plants helped complete the design vision: formal & elegant, bold & beautiful, unique & tasteful. New design lines and plant material have brought out the beauty of the renovated home.

Throughout the project, the team faced challenges that were not immediately apparent including widespread drainage problems, a non-functional irrigation system, and various site issues that needed technical expertise. The trained staff, led by Gregg, recognized and repaired the issues. "Renovation jobs open up many new challenges, the objective is to find them and repair them once and for all," said Gregg. "Do it once and do it right. We want our landscapes to look and function properly. " Moving forward, the Mason team will put on the finishing touches: irrigation, adding color, installing outdoor lighting, and placing sod. Another job Masons' Landscape can be proud of.
